GMPTE Igo Pass
Important information about child bus fares.
A new young person’s concessionary travel pass has been introduced by GMPTE called an igo pass. The igo pass proves young people can pay the concessionary fares on buses in Greater Manchester.
From 16 May 2011 children aged 11 to 16 years must have an igo pass to pay the concessionary fare (currently 80p) on buses in Greater Manchester. The existing GMPTE ID16 will no longer be accepted and bus companies will charge higher fares if an igo pass is not shown to the driver.
The igo pass is only available to children who live in Greater Manchester, or attend full time education at a school in Greater Manchester.
If you buy an igo pass for your child before 31 January 2011 they can get a discount on a Junior Bus Saver season ticket.
You can find out more and download an application form at gmpte.com/igo.
