Tameside Association Cup Basketball Finals to take place at Alder!

The Tameside Association Cup Basketball Finals 2011 will be taking place at Alder on Saturday 16th April from 12.00 p.m. onwards. All five of Alder’s Basketball teams have made it to the finals, which is a massive accomplishment.

The Year 7’s have had a tremendous start this year and currently remain unbeaten, whilst the much-improved Year 8’s have comfortably got through some potentially tricky matches against Audenshaw and West Hill to make it to the finals. They Year 9 team will have a repeat of last year’s final where they will hope to redeem themselves after last year’s defeat to a strong and experienced Audenshaw team. The Year 10’s will be looking to defend their title for the third consecutive year against Astley whilst the Year 11’s will play a tough West Hill team having reached the finals in their first year as a team.

The timetable for the day is below, with approximate start times. Light refreshments will also be available on the day.

 

  • 12.30 pm: Year 11, Alder v West Hill
  • 1.30 pm: Year 7, Alder v Copley
  • 2.30 pm: Year 8, Alder v Hyde
  • 3.30 pm: Year 9, Alder v Audenshaw
  • 4.30 pm: Year 10, Alder v Astley
