KS3 End of Year Rewards Visits

We are delighted to be able to offer our popular rewards visits on Thursday 16th July. Thank you for the prompt responses and booking onto visits.   

Please be advised that students are permitted to wear non-uniform on the rewards visits. For any of our visits any child entitled to a free school meal will be given a packed lunch from school, this should be ordered in advance (please email schooltrips@alderchs.uk). 

Your child will be provided with the school mobile number on the morning of the visit which is to be called in the event of an emergency. Students should not bring valuable items with them on the visits; Alder staff will not be responsible for any items lost or damaged. Should your child require medication throughout the day please ensure this is handed to the member of staff leading your child’s visit, clearly labelled. Please find below the itinerary for each of the rewards visits on Thursday 16th July:   

Blackpool Pleasure Beach Theme Park  

8:20	Students register and remain in usual form groups
8:50	Students sent to the Sports hall to be registered, sat in Year group sections, escorted to the coach
9:00	Depart for Blackpool Pleasure Beach
10:00	Arrival at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
10:30	Students allocated groups. Staff group leader outlines expectations, lunch and emergency meeting point location outlined, school mobile shared, meeting times shared.
12:30	Student’s check-in with group leader
3:00	Students meet group leader at the exit, register
3:30	Depart Blackpool Pleasure Beach
5:30	Arrival into Alder School car park (collecting vehicles must not be parked on the main drive to allow access for the coaches)

 

  

Hollywood Bowl, Ashton  

8:20	Students register and remain in usual form groups
8:50	Students sent to the Hall to be registered, escorted to the coach
9:00	Depart for Bowling
10:00	Arrival at Bowling
10:30	Safety briefing, behaviour expectations and groupings completed
11:00-12:00	Complete bowling games in groups
12:00-1:00	Lunch provided
1:00-2:00	Additional bowling game
2:15	Depart Bowling
2:45	Arrival into Alder School car park (collecting vehicles must not be parked on the main drive to allow access for the coaches) and dismissed

 

Cineworld , Ashton 

8:20	Students register and remain in usual form groups
8:50	Students go to A10 to meet the visit lead and be registered, students then escorted to the coach
9:00	Depart for Cineworld
10:00	Arrival at Cineworld
10:30	Safety briefing, behaviour expectations and groupings completed
11:00-1:30	Watching the film
1:30-2:00	Lunch at food outlets
2:15	Depart
2:45	Arrival into Alder School car park (collecting vehicles must not be parked on the main drive to allow access for the coaches) and dismissed

  

 

In School Reward:  

Students are to wear their Alder PE kit and arrive to school at the usual time, register in their form room and then follow their timetable for the day. Usual school timings in operation with the school day finishing at 2:50.  

In School Lessons 

Students are to wear their PE kit and are to arrive at 8:20, students to register in their usual form, following registration students will follow a timetable for the day. Usual school timings will be in operation with the school day finishing at 2:50.  

Please ensure your child is prepared with a re-fillable water bottle and suncream.
