Year 10 mock exams will be taking place between Monday 2nd and Wednesday 11th March 2026. Please see the timetable below for full details of dates and times.

Why mock exams matter

Mock exams are an important opportunity for students to:

  • Experience exam conditions and build confidence before their GCSEs
  • Identify areas where they need additional support or revision
  • Practice their exam technique and time management skills
  • Help us assess their progress and provide targeted intervention where needed

How you can support your child

  • Check the timetable carefully – make sure your child knows when each exam is taking place
  • Encourage a revision routine – help them create a realistic revision plan in the weeks leading up to the exams
  • Ensure good rest – adequate sleep is crucial for concentration and performance
  • Reduce exam anxiety – remind them that mocks are a learning opportunity, not the final assessment

Access arrangements

If your child has access arrangements in place (such as extra time or a reader), these will be applied during the mock exams, just as they will be in their final GCSEs. If you have any questions about access arrangements, please contact our SENCO.

Results and next steps

Mock exam results will be shared with students and parents/carers after marking is complete as part of their Progress Update 2 report. We'll use these results to identify any additional support needed and to help students focus their revision efforts in the future.

If you have any questions about the mock exams, please don't hesitate to contact your child's form tutor.
